Gary David Goldberg, the show’s creator and showrunner shared in an interview with The Television Academy that the network executive, Brandon Tartikoff disagreed with Fox’s height and looks and wanted him to be re-casted. Thankfully, Goldberg refused to do so, and Tartikoff eventually agreed to do the show, making Fox a superstar.
