The Zebra Woman and Other Confusing Photos That Prove You Shouldn’t Always Trust Your Eyes
Dogman
Dog lovers assemble. This furry creature appears to be the Keeshond, a breed whose closest relatives are the German spitzes. Its two-toned coat of silver and black gives it a distinguished look, and whoever owns it must get a lot of attention on the streets.
But we can’t catch a glimpse of the lucky owner in this photo because the dog takes center stage. And if we didn’t know better, we’d believe it was a dog-human hybrid sitting on the train.
The Biggest of Them All
Basketball is a sport that prioritizes jumping skills, the ability to defend the space and shoot or dunk over shorter players. This means that taller people have a better advantage in every area of the game.

We could say that this woman appears larger than life because of the positioning of the camera. But if she were truly as tall as she looks, she’d be a shoo-in for the ” tallest female basketball player.” Just like Polish pro basketballplayer, Małgorzata Dydek.
What Long Arms You Have
There’s nothing as fascinating nor heartwarming as the bond between two girlfriends. In fact, a big part of growing up female is having someone around who can relate to unique experiences and share the ups and downs of this life with you.

So it’s lovely to see these two girls smiling brightly for a photo. But what’s that in the background? A man with stretchy arms? Sorry to burst that bubble, but that hand belongs to the girl on the left.
Hey Man, Cute Shorts
Liev Schreiber is an American actor known for films like “The Omen,” “Pawn Sacrifice,” and “The French Dispatch.” So he’s a big deal in Hollywood. Of course, anyone who’s seen him on the screen can attest to the fact that this isn’t what he looks like.

Which means something strange is afoot. This time, we’ll burst the bubble a bit sooner. Schreiber only happened to be wearing a shirt a couple of shades similar to the woman. Those aren’t his denim shorts.
Female Centaur
Can we talk about centaurs without reminding everyone about the classic children’s book series and film adaptation, “The Chronicles of Narnia?” It was our first introduction to the mythical beasts that are part human and part horse.

And while the main centaur in that production was a guy, this woman also appears to play her part well. A female centaur is called a Centaurides. Thumbs up to the person behind the camera and a bigger shoutout to the dog for standing in the right spot to create this illusion.
Wait! Let Me Explain!
No, don’t scroll past in a fit of anger! First impressions can indeed be deceiving. The young girl happens to be sitting with an adult. So, said adult is the owner of the visible thigh. Just look at the chair and notice the tiny legs peeking out from under. Believe us now?

This is one situation where that old saying about only getting one chance to make a first impression holds water. We all make snap judgments within a few seconds.
Thing, Is That You?!
‘Wednesday Addams’ is one fictional character who has endeared herself to several generations of people. And when 2022 rolled around with a new Netflix series dedicated to her, the fans went wild. They even created a TikTok dance in her honor, but that’s a story for another day.

What’s Wednesday without her trusty sidekick, the disembodied hand called ‘Thing?’ The pair always wreak havoc together. And this photo is very reminiscent of that iconic pair. Except this ‘Thing’ is missing its stitches.
Zebra Woman
We promised a zebra woman, and our word is our bond! Centaurs may be part human, part horse, but what do we call a full-bodied zebra with a human torso attached? Whatever name that is, it’s the perfect descriptor for this scene.

Scott McCloud explained once that humans can perceive shapes and images out of a couple of dots and lines. It has something to do with our tendency to see patterns where there are none. And the term for that is pareidolia.
A Sad Way to Go
Gymnastics is no joke, and it’s always interesting to see individuals who devote many years of their lives to honing their skills to perform at various events. In fact, photos like this highlight the lengths those professional athletes would go to bring the house down during their performances.

In this case, a perfectly placed chest emblem and a perfect leap into the air contributed to this image of a supposed headless gymnast. But not to worry, no losses were recorded that night!
Counting Two or Three?
“Snapping one, two, where are you?” is a lyric from Rosa Lynn’s 2022 song, “Snap.” And the counting portion is very relevant to this photo, where the woman in sunglasses attempts to hold up a peace sign for a selfie but ends up with an extra third finger.

Just kidding. We know that’s not a finger. But isn’t it funny how the woman in the background happened to be in the right place to sell the illusion of a third finger?
A Confusing Tale
Teenagers hanging at a game shop is nothing new. With many parents complaining nowadays that their young’uns spend long hours glued to their computer screens, it’s nice to see said young’uns spending time outside of their homes in the company of friends.

We only wish they had thought it through before taking this photo. Because now we’re left to unravel the mystery of the missing limbs. Girl in glasses is the only one accounted for. Everyone else is a jumbled mess.
Shadow Tells Another Story
In the age of Instagram and other photo-sharing apps, we’ve all become adept at taking photos of ourselves in places. And it’s not even necessary to pack a camera for a trip to Europe or some other location. With the camera on smartphones nowadays, we’re covered.

But one could find the perfect spot, wear the perfect outfit and have the weather cooperate only to take the worst possible photos. That’s what happens when the shadow decides to ruin the show.
Is it a Conjoined Horse?
The domestication of horses has to be one of man’s greatest achievements. Because once that was out of the way, it allowed us to use them for sport, transportation, agriculture, and even in war.

But the storied history of horses doesn’t just end there. It appears there’s been a change in its evolution, and somehow two-headed horses are now being bred. It’s either that or our eyes are being deceptive. Let’s hope you have a better go at figuring this out.
Beer or Towel
To have two football heavyweights in one photo is no small feat. While Arjen Robben is now retired, David Alaba has remained active on the field. And last we heard, he’d even signed a contract with Real Madrid, the former’s old team.

With that out of the way, it’s nearly impossible to believe that this photo was taken just as Alaba poured a glass of beer on Robben. Because it sure looks like the latter threw a towel over his head!
Stand Strong
Superheroes are real, and “Marvel” and “D.C” have been trying to tell us the truth for decades. This is just a photo of a skydiver taken at a dizzying height.

When this photo first surfaced on the internet, it was even tagged “Giant occupying the city,” which makes sense considering the individual appears to be standing on the bridge. But instead of trying to figure out if the photo is real or not, why not just enjoy the view?

Sitting so Nicely!
Dogs sitting in trains are looking to be a common theme on this list, and we don’t mind at all. And this isn’t an attempt to dredge up age-old rivalry with cat lovers and persons who prefer other pets. It’s just that dogs are so lovable!

In this case, the lucky canine sat right next to a woman in a pink shirt. And clearly, the person behind the camera thought it was funny how both bodies—canine and human—merged to create a hybrid.
Reality vs. Cartoon
At the risk of sounding like a millennial, or worse, does anyone remember the American animated TV show “Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids?” It ran from ’72 to ’85 and was the highlight of many lazy Saturday mornings.

The 2004 movie version of the show features a portal in the cartoon world that causes the animated characters to come to life. And these 2D bags look like the sort of accessories you’d find in animations, not the real world!
Snacks or Sloths?
What do a chocolate-filled snack and one of the slowest creatures on earth have in common? Nothing on paper, but this photo brings up a few similarities. For anyone who’s wondering, these tasty-looking treats are pain au chocolat.

They’re just like the French croissant except filled with chocolate. And something about these reminds us of sloths laying low in their natural habitat—if their habitat happened to be plastic packaging instead of the tropical rain forests of Central and South America.
Benjamin Button
“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is a 2008 fantasy movie that tells the tale of a man who was born old and slowly aged backward until he died a baby. While initially confusing, it turned out to be quite a fun watch.

And if we needed a real-life representation of the movie’s plot, this would be it. Somehow a man and boy have become one, and we don’t know whose torso can lay claim to the head and bucket hat.
What a Tiny Head!
Still on the topic of heads, here’s another interesting case. If two-headed horses and dog-humans can be a thing, then normal-sized animals with shrunken heads can be too. We only wish we had proof that this was real.

Wouldn’t that make for an interesting conversation? It should take a few seconds for the brain to catch up to the fact that a small puppy is standing right in front of the big dog. They could be related for all we know.
