In 2007, “The Simpsons” writers released a full episode with a crucial national security forecast. As always a good citizen, Marge planned to expose the government’s bad deeds privately. However, it never materialized, as when the camera panned out, full departments of federal agents listened to her claims.
If anything, the series predicted that the security apparatus would interfere with people’s privacy. It came true when a former NSA employee, Edward Snowden, confirmed that that was what the agency did.
