Anyone who watched “The Simpsons” in the ’90s can count the number of times the animation featured technology that had yet to be invented. Though not all of them came to be, the smartwatch Lise and her love interest used in season six is a good example.
Some ideas are better left to animations, but the idea of a smartwatch was too good to ignore. And it became a reality when Apple launched its first watch, not to mention other brands coming up as competition.
