Most people don’t understand international finances unless they are experts in the field. However, in a 2012 episode of “The Simpsons,” Homer appeared as a guest on cable news, and even though we didn’t understand what he talked about, the news headline was clear: “Europe puts Greece on eBay.”

While it seemed like just another episode, it turned out to be a prediction that came to pass less than a year later. Greece defaulted on the IMF, having been deeply in debt, and it was all over the news, as the animation had predicted.
