The Bear in the Hospital Was Not the Scariest Part of the Night
Hospitals stay busy, but there is usually some kind of rhythm. Soft voices, the occasional buzz from machines, nurses moving with purpose. That night didn’t follow the rules. One second, everything felt routine. Out of nowhere, a bear came bursting through the main entrance. Not a hallucination. Not a prank. A living, breathing bear standing in the fluorescent light.
People screamed. Some bolted. A few just froze. But Hana didn’t move. Something about the way the bear walked, the thing it carried in its mouth, didn’t feel threatening. It wasn’t growling or charging. It looked almost… careful. And whatever was squirming in its jaws was tiny. Fragile. Hana had no idea what was going on, but she knew one thing. That bear wasn’t looking to hurt anyone.
