Donna Dixon is one of those people who took the road less traveled to achieve her success. While most of her friends were preparing for college, she pursued a career as a pageant queen. She won the “Miss Virginia Pageant” in 1976 and went on to compete in “Miss USA 1976” and “Miss World USA 1977”.
This acted as a springboard for her to other career opportunities. This included an acting role in the sitcom “Bosom Buddies,” where she played Sonny Lumet working opposite Tom Hanks during his early career. She is married to actor Dan Aykroyd and did voice work in a 2020 episode of “The Twilight Zone.”
