Technically no written law states the monarch and members of the royal family cannot vote in an election. However, they adopt a politically neutral stance that prevents such a move. The official Royal website even states that the Head of State has to remain strictly neutral concerning all political matters.
Naturally, that means they can neither stand for election nor vote. The family takes a similar stance to avoid skewing public perception in favor of one party over another.
