Border Between North and South Korea
The Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a heavily fortified border between North Korea and South Korea. Within the DMZ, Panmunjom is the Joint Security Area (JSA) site, where official negotiations occur.
The picturesque Bridge of No Return, crossing the Military Demarcation Line, gained its name during the Korean War. Nowadays, infiltration tunnels dug by North Korea add to the tension. And the border reflects the ongoing conflict and divided nature of the Korean Peninsula.
