Before Netflix & YouTube: The Child Stars Who Lit Up The Screens Of Yesteryear
Bobby Driscoll
Discovered by chance at a barber shop at the young age of five, Bobby Driscoll wasn’t your average kid. By nine, he was already appearing in movies. His natural charm and acting ability landed him roles in popular films like “Song of the South” (1946) and “Treasure Island” (1950).
He even won a special Academy Award at just 12 years old for his performances! Sadly, Bobby’s career slowed down in his teens, and he eventually left Hollywood altogether. Though his time in the spotlight was brief, Bobby’s legacy as a talented child star remains a fascinating part of film history.
