Before Netflix & YouTube: The Child Stars Who Lit Up The Screens Of Yesteryear
Harvey Stephens
Unlike most kindergartners, Harvey Stephens wasn’t building block towers in 1976—he was busy becoming the devil’s cutest ambassador. At five, this little chap landed the role of Damien in the horror flick “The Omen.”
Legend has it he even punched the director (at the director’s request!) to secure the part. His portrayal of the spawn of Satan was chillingly good, earning him a Golden Globe nomination—though maybe not the kind of award most parents brag about at the school pick-up line. Harvey wisely decided acting wasn’t his lifelong calling and opted for a more normal life after a few films.
