The mating of the great white shark has remained one of those mysteries that even scientists know little about. It has never been fully documented, as no one has witnessed the mammals mating or even giving birth.
However, experts assume that the process is similar to that in most sharks, where internal fertilization happens. Usually, the male uses its claspers and inserts them in the cloaca of the female shark, and everything happens internally. But there are no courtship records.
