Fish Grow So Big?
This is a photo of a nay-on 7-foot sturgeon snapped at Fraser River, British Columbia, Canada. There are 27 different species of sturgeon, and most of them can grow between 7 feet and 12 feet long. This is most likely thanks to their link to the acipenseriformes fish from the early Jurassic period.
One of the largest ones ever recorded came in over 23 feet and weighed 3,463 pounds. This discovery was made in 1827 at a place called Volga Delta in Europe.
