In futuristic movies, one of the coolest things is how a box just mechanically folds out and becomes an entire workbench… or body suite ala Iron Man. Those items may still be way in the future for us, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be made without the mechanical aspects.
One of the major benefits of IKEA products is that different designs can be mixed to create a new one. In this instance, this person mixed Kallax pieces with two Alex units and an Ultrusta tray pull-out. This was finished off with a Linnmon countertop and became the perfect futuristic fold-out workstation for a machinist.
