In a 2012 study, it was revealed that children with a high IQ are most likely to use illegal substances when they’re grown. James White, Catharine Gale, and David White are researchers who found that based on their large population-based study, 11 year-olds with a certain IQ have a greater likelihood of using specific illegal drugs after 31 years.

In their conclusion on the relationship between childhood IQ and future wellness, it was said that children with higher intelligence might adopt potentially harmful behavior. Examples of them are drug use and consumption of excess alcoholic beverages.
