High Intelligence? Use This Checklist To Find Out Whether You Are Smarter Than Most People

Not Crazy For Talking To Ourselves

Generally, it’s typical for people to think you’re crazy if they find you talking to yourself. No, you’re not crazy; it’s actually the opposite. Alexander Kirkham and Paloma Mari-Beffa are psychologists at Bangor University who studied this. They concluded that talking out loud to yourself improves self-control, which is a necessary form of intelligence.

Another study even revealed that the participants in the test who read the tasks out loud did better than the silent readers. This is probably why some professional athletes talk out loud to themselves during games.
