Zeke Thomas, the openly gay DJ and son of NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas, proudly shares that he perceives the NBA as a welcoming and inclusive environment for the LGBTQ+ community. Zeke revealed that his father, upon Jason Collins’ coming out, reassured him that this was not uncommon.
Isiah conveyed that even during his basketball career, he played alongside gay players. He knew, even in high school, that there were gay athletes. Isiah also emphasized that the media tends to exaggerate the issue.
