Canada is famous for many things, but it is also popular for not-so-good reasons. Although a six-story rubber ducky may seem like a fun addition to playtime, not everyone was excited about the installation at Toronto’s HTO Park in 2017.

The Redpath Waterfront Festival planned to feature this giant duck on Canada Day, July 1. The Ontario government faced backlash from the public for providing a grant of $120,000 CAD to bring a rubber duck to the province.
