Iran banned women from attending sports stadiums shortly after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. And though the ban isn’t codified in any written law, it’s been heavily enforced countrywide.
Well, this group of girls challenged that embargo by showing up at the stadium in false beards and wigs. The five girls posed happily as they settled in to watch and cheer for their team, Persepolis.
