Teachers insist on creativity in the classroom. So they always appreciate it when their students go above and beyond to make their work unique and different from the mold. This person was asked to assume the role of a Chinese immigrant in 1870 and write a letter home.
And they rightfully assumed that a Chinese immigrant wouldn’t be well versed in English and would obviously write their letter in Chinese. If they don’t get an A for authenticity, who will?
