The Mayor of a city in Brazil once issued a ban against pub owners who set up tables on the sidewalk. Such drinking spots constituted a public nuisance. The bar owner didn’t take the ban lying down, though.
In an unprecedented move, they went on to rent a flatbed truck with tables and chairs. That way, customers could enjoy a few drinks without getting accused of crowding up the sidewalk.
