Fort Collins First City Hall Fronts Never Gets Old since 1891
Take one look at old town Fort Collins and witness the town’s contemporary face! Built in 1882, when leaders decided to build the fire hall, they also built the town’s first city hall. The fire hall was in use until 1958.
The image shows the Fort Collins Fire Department Parade marching downtown on Walnut Street in 1891. Today, it is lined with beautifully preserved houses, unique shops, restaurants, and art galleries.
