Two Different Generations 150 Years Apart, At The Metropolitan Museum of Art

It’s astonishing to see people 150 years apart in the exact same place. Such is the case in the edited picture showing art lovers from different time periods at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

The left side of the image shows visitors from the museum’s early days, circa 1870, alongside a more recent 2020 scene showing a facilitator giving a tour. The artwork in the background that both parties are viewing is a painting by Emanuel Leutze from 1851 named “Washington Crossing the Delaware.”
